Adult Lessons
The Adult Lessons program is intended for beginner skiers through to intermediates who wish to improve their technique in a non-threatening group environment.
The program is open to members and non-menbers.
Adult Skate Ski Lessons
Adult skate lessons will be held over four Saturdays: January 2, 9, 16 and 30 from
10:30
to
11:30AM
. The cost for the program is $50.00 for three lessons, with January 30 being a makeup day for any missed lesson. The lessons will focus on the basics needed for efficient skating technique- balance, weight transfer, and glide. We will cover off-set, one skate, two skate and downhill techniques.
We will respond to skier’s individual needs for specific skill improvement, as well as information on equipment, training methods, and waxing.
Interested skiers should contact Bruce or Ingrid Mitchell at 250 374-4052.
Adult Classic Lessons
Three or four lessons will be offered, depending on the interest of those who sign up. The lessons are offered at $50.00 for the series. Members may sign up and pay for lessons at the Ticket Booth, but should first contact Bruce Tucker at 250-578-7925.
Techniques covered will include diagonal stride, double pole, single kick double pole, downhill speed and control and cornering. As well, if students wish, assistance can be given in equipment selection and waxing for kick and glide.
All funds collected will be used to support the various programs and events of the Overlander Ski Club.
