Overlander Ski Club has put together a plan to light about 5km of trails around the lake. The scope of the project is described in the attached pdf document.
The 2007 ski plan called for lighting and powering the stadium area, this was accomplished in 2006 thanks to a gaming grant.
A gaming capital grant to light the Cartwheel trail from the Day Lodge to the stadium and on to Holdup junction plus the two sprint trails from the stadium to Holdup was applied for in late 2006. This will allow the club to run lessons in the evenings as well as other events such as club races under the lights. It will also provide 1.5 km of lit trails for evening skiing.
